Local move from Orlando, FL to Miami, FL

Do not use this company

I would not recommend this company; my recommendation is to stay as far away from them as you can. Their business practice is dishonest at best. Miscommunication and deception seemed to be their motto as I struggled to navigate my move.

Pick up: They arrived late, disappeared several times throughout the day, and left a strong marijuana smell in my front yard. It took them over 10 hours to pack up a relatively small house and then demanded a cash payment twice the amount I was quoted.

Delivery: Arrived late, were repeatedly disrespectful, several Items were damaged. I noted a box that was not mine, they opened it and tried to convince me it was mine, then picked it up and threw it out the door.

The insurance claim process is almost impossible to complete, the web site was overwhelming as ads popped up nonstop. Once I completed the claim process and was approved, I was told there was nothing left for me to do, that a check would be mailed. After waiting a few weeks with no check, I called Infantry to be told it was my responsibility to contact them once my claim was approved. That was a month ago and still no check and no return phone calls.

I have basically been ghosted by this company while trying to get my insurance claim from them.

I selected this company because they are veteran owned, what a dishonor to reputable veteran own companies.

Save yourself the trouble and go with a different company.

Local move within Missouri

Do not use this company!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I relocated from Florida to Missouri. I spoke to different moving companies and Infantry Van Lines LLC seemed forthcoming over the phone.

Robert is lying salesman, he provided me with a quote that was inaccurate and it went up over 1200.00 after picking up my items. I tried to call him multiple times, informing them that I removed some items and I wanted to count the total boxes so I wouldn’t be surprised at the moves. He was lazy and didn’t want to do a revision.

The movers arrived a day later and not the scheduled date. One guy arrived and thought he could move everything then he called for help.

Robert informed us that their company has professional movers which is inaccurate. They contact people who are looking to make quick money.

On the day of the first move in date , the information wasn’t explained to be properly so I had to call Robert and he didn’t answer. I called the manager who wasn’t available then lo and behold I called the mover , he. Contacted Alan who is the manager that’s when he called back.

I explained to him that their communication is poor and they are unprofessional if they explain the information properly, we wouldn’t have this issue.

He explained the information so again . I am waiting for my items. I reached out to him on Tuesday, September 7th, he stated the some moving company is loading the truck now. Which was a lie. He told me they’d be delivering the item on Saturday .

On Thursday, September 9th, another person called me. He is from a moving company who picked up the items from Florida , which Robert lied about in the beginning. He called and said they are loading the truck , which Alan lied about on Tuesday. The mover informed that he’s driving an 18 wheeler and he’d like to know if it will fit in my complex. Again I’m confused because this wasn’t explained. I told no that his truck wouldn’t fit. I sent him a video and he said it would be an additional 150.00 -200.00. I politely informed him that I am not paying that.

I called Robert and Alan who of course weren’t available. I spoke to another mover by the name of Jack, he said to wait until the mover arrives and go from there. He informed the mover that if there is a walk up 75 feet are free. I didn’t understand why the mover didn’t look at the contract, this was all a scam and a way to get more money.

On the day of the drop off date, it was a debacle.

The mover arrived , he has his own company and he posted an add on Craigslist to get two Mover’s to help him unload my items. Keep in mind these were supposed to be professional Mover’s.

When the guy arrived, he pulled his truck as close as possible. When before he said he had to walk from the street.

Berman- the mover said this is your balance and I need an additional 150.00 for the walk up. I said I’m not paying 150.00 because that’s not 150 feet. The other two Mover’s are looking at me. One of the guys started it’s always trouble with these out of state Mover’s charging extra. I said, not today. I made the get his measuring tape to count the exact about of feet because he was trying to get over. He measured 82 feet and stopped. I wasn’t near him so I walked closer to him and I told his that’s only 82 feet. I told him he’s a liar and he cannot be trusted. I told him to measure it from the end of the truck and go all the way out to the 100 feet then measure to the door. Finally, we got the correct feet and I said him 75.00 not double the amount he lied about.

Now the next step, I have a flight of stairs I informed him that a flight of stairs are covered. He tried to tell me the first 10 steps are free. I said call the manager because I’m not giving you anymore money . The manager confirmed I was correct. I told the head mover to not say anything else to me because he isn’t a man of integrity.

As they are moving my items in the house, the boxes were torn from being tossed around items were falling out of them, my computer desk was missing pieces and it was ripped apart, my mirror was broken, my dresser was leaning and pieces were falling apart, plates , cups and dishes were broke.

My desk couldn’t be repaired because of how it was disassembled.

I tried contacting the company Saturday of the move. I sent pictures and etc. there was no response. I contacted them Monday, September 11th and sent more pictures of the boxes and items broken no response.

After all of this , if I would have checked these reviews. I would have NEVER USED THIS COMPANY! They should be shut down.

This company is not accredited by the BBB and they are liars -crooks.

Save yourself the time. Moving is already stressful.

Pay more and use a better company.

Never again!

Beating Hurricane Ian

Thanks for the great move. I can't believe your crew was moving me on the date promised, even though hurricane Ian was just a few hours away. Great job in wrapping my furniture so it wouldn't get wet in the rain. Your crew stayed until after midnight putting the furniture together. I hope I don't have to move again, but if I do you'll be moving me. Your crew was the best. Thank you.

Long-distance move from Hobe Sound, FL to Havre De Grace, MD

Major delivery issues

Long distance move (1100 mi) cost $25,000. Delivery was “postponed” such that originally planned for 8/15 or 16 but arrived on 8/26 at 6pm. There were supposed to be 4 men to unload but ended up being 1, meaning it was 4:15am when they left. I had 2 antiques ruined-can’t be repaired. Boxes were put in wrong rooms and piled so high I could not reach them (had to hire someone) and furniture not put where requested. I am deeply disappointed as I try to hire veteran operated businesses. To be fair, the men in Florida did a good job. It’s the driver I have a problem with. I was lied to and told my delivery was delayed due to truck issues but they let it slip and said they were waiting for a full truck before coming north. Frankly, that’s not my problem. For that kind of money I expect to get what I paid for. All in all I can not recommend Infantry Van Lines. They may be okay for a local move but certainly not a long distance move. This was a nightmare experience, one I hope to never repeat.

Long-distance move from Orange City, FL to Rogersville, TN

Horrible service-if that is what you call it

From the start, the movers took my personal hand truck and promised they would deliver with my belongings. Belongings (some of them) were delivered (and my handtruck was not!!)and I am missing some large items (antique vanity with mirror, wooden wall unit)and some boxes. Also items were broken and I recieved a mirror that was not mine. I have been contacting them via phone, text and email and STILL is not resolved. I was told to file a claim but I need the Bill of Laden (BOL) which I have now been asking for weekly for the past month since I cannot finish claim without it. I have been in constant contact from May to now (October 24th) and STILL no reply, no BOL, nothing!! I have been more than persistent and received nothing but a bunch of run around. I spoke to Todd from May to about August when he finally told me I have to speak to Allen!! When you call Allen he does not have VM set up so you can't leave a message. They always have an excuse they are out of office, off sick, family emergency, on vacation etc.Or if you are lucky to get them, they will send to me when they are back in the office that day but weeks go by and still nothing. The contract they have you sign say they will only replace like 60% of the value and do not go over with you at time of signing so BEWARE. If you use them make sure you PAY for additional 100% coverage. And contract also states if you hire an attorney you have to pay the fees for you and for the movers!! I am fairly patient but this has been a NIGHTMARE to deal with them!!

Great company.!!

Infantry Van Lines is an excellent choice for moving needs in the San Antonio area!! The entire operation from initial discussion to move to finish was extremely professional, most competent, and simply put - outstanding. They worked with us to arrange a reasonable hourly rate and kept in contact with us the entire time (making sure there were no questions or issues - and we didn't have.

Long-distance move from Naples, FL to Montgomery, TX

Worst Moving Experience in my life

My husband and I have moved over 100 times in our married life. We have had movers move us and we have moved ourselves. He is 83 and I am 81, we decided to have someone move us from Florida to Texas this time. Infantry told us it would be a smooth move since they are the carrier and not the broker and would be able to move us from point A to point B themselves, with no middleman.

I had to move my moving date up and they did accommodate me on the earlier date. On the moving date, we were ready, we were leaving the area after the move. The mover was two hours late, which put us now leaving later as well. One person arrived around 3:30 PM, he told us that another person was coming to help load, and in fact, a nice gentleman arrived soon after. They did not start moving until 5:00 PM. The elevator broke down at 5:00 on a Friday afternoon. Which made them have to haul the boxes down the steps and out to their truck. They were going to charge me for the extra steps, but I argued if they had arrived on time, they would have been able to use the elevator. I won the argument. They did not make me pay the extra money, BUT, I think to make up for that they said, that the estimate of 350 cubic feet was too small and that now it was 600 cubic feet ( mind you I had less than the 50 boxes they estimated and no large furniture. I am not an expert on cubic footage. The driver said he would stop loading and take what was loaded or pay extra. What was I going to do? SCAM, SCAM, SCAM! I had to pay an extra $1500 to move my belongings or else, it went from $2000 to $3500 in a second. We are on a fixed income, with very little outside means. This was a huge blow to our income and savings. My daughter had to step in and help us or we would not have been able to get to our new destination. When our boxes arrived, I looked at the truck and they were scattered, squashed, and disorganized, they kept bringing someone else's boxes in. I would never use this company again! It was a horrible experience and very costly for my family.
